ABMW Membership
ABMW is also one of the oldest affiliate chapters of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and played a key role in the founding of that organization. ABMW’s purpose is to promote the union of blacks in media in the metropolitan Baltimore area, is dedicated to truth and excellence in the news and full equality in the industry.

ALL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO REVIEW BY THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE.

picv01. Full Membership $ 40
Working journalists, including writers, reporters, editors, producers, technicians, photographers, newsroom managers, artists and public relations professionals who produce, gather, disseminate and distribute news and information, who work for newspapers, television stations, satellite services, radio stations, and networks, cable television services, magazines, computer-based information services, wire services, and other media entities, and full-time freelance journalists.

This also applies to college and university journalism professors/lecturers, part-time or freelance journalists, professionals in advertising, marketing, public relations, and all related government and corporate agencies/entities.

 
02. Student Membership $20
Full-time equivalent students at accredited college, university or trade school who are majoring in print, broadcast, news media journalism or a communications curriculum.
