ABMW's purpose has been to promote the union of African Americans in media, right here in Baltimore. ABMW has been, and will continue to be dedicated to truth, networking, nurturing, support, and excellence in all aspects of the media.
2008 has been a tough, but rewarding year for me as president of this organization. We have faced many problems...won, and lost a few battles, but I've been fortunate to see firsthand what hard work is all about...how just a few people with common goals, and similar interests can make things happen!
This website, along with our recent Media Choice Awards, are a culmination of the hard work and dedication of several people who have gone above and beyond to make this organization a success...I'm congratulating our members on their tireless work, and I'm asking them to help me continue in those efforts to make The Association of Black Media Workers an NABJ chapter of the year in the VERY NEAR future!
